               The decision of ICANN's new gTLD system has its own advantages and disadvantages,it expands the internet domain naming system to a new level.Registrars like 1and1.com ,godaddy.com and names.com have begun free pre-registrations and notifications system.But ICANN claims that although pre-registrars claim to give you domain names ending with the particular extension, it is not a guaranteed process.Generic top level Domain registration in Indian has not yet begun.Godaddy is the only registrar that has shown some interest over maintaining a watchlist for gTLD domain names.Soon the registration process will be open for people in India.gTLDs like .ram .islam have stirred up some issues too.Therefore ICANN would be approving the gTLD requests with care while dealing extension names that could stir up religious issues or phishing , brand theft. etc.
