Formula to calculate GPA for Anna University exams

   The Grade Point Average (GPA) will be calculated for every Anna University semester exam.GPA determines the final result out of 10 points corresponding to that particular semester.GPA for Anna University can be manually calculated using a simple formula.Things you should need to know before calculating it are:

1. The credits for each subject.and total credits (this can be obtained either from the syllabus book that is given to you or here).

2. Your grades in each subject that you will know through Anna University result website.

WHEN WILL ANNA UNIVERSITY PUBLISH JANUARY 2013 FIRST SEMESTER RESULT ???

Anna University has not yet published their results.It seems like they take more time than usual.
First of all,the percentage of arrears were supposed to be high in Engineering Mathematics 1.Who knows ? Maybe Anna University is fumbled up with such a percentage and tries something to patch it up with some grace marks.

So this is how it goes.
Comparing with the past few years the results have been published within February end.
Rumors have been around that Anna University would publish results on 23rd February which is not true.As we examine the reason,this time the exam was on January 2013 with a couple of tough Question Papers (Engineering Graphics Morning Session and Engineering Mathematics ) and that the correction might have produced unsatisfactory results.
and two,The dateline goes around to the middle of March 2013 as the result date.As these calculations were based upon the time span they take between the semester exam end and the Result publication date in the previous years


I hope that they will publish around 15th March as the people in Anna Univ. predict

It is supposed that there is a high chance of results being published today i.e March 18,2013

RESULTS FOR ANNA UNIVERSITY 2013 AND VALUATION REPORT FOR UG / PG

2013 Anna University first semester UG/PG valuation result status is as follows :

• Engineering Mathematics 1 : has no grace marks . Maths result will be moderate this time and it wont be up to a satisfactory level.It is said that only 23% of those who wrote passed this subject :/
• Engineering Chemistry I : As the 2marks and 16 marks were easy their results are good when compared to maths M1 and F.O.C. This subject reported no grace marks
• Engineering Physics 1 : This subject has a good result too like Engineering Chemistry 1 is.
• FOC : It is believed that this question paper was easy although the valuation results were not as satisfactory as expected..no grace marks too
• Engineering Graphics : It is said that the subject had a lot of sums out of portion in the morning session E.G exam and so grace marks will be awarded for the same.Two sums in afternoon session is expected to have   grace marks  too....
  
  Its expected that the results might be out in a month..
